YSS officers are trained well above the state’s average requirements in areas including firearms (if armed), defensive tactics, de-escalation, first aid/CPR/AED, and Stop the Bleed, just to name a few. YSS officers train monthly to keep their skills sharp and stay aware of new trends in the field.
